About the Author
I was born and raised in Vermont. I lived for four years in New York City, where I went to Barnard College. Then I returned to Vermont. Now I live in a small house in the woods with my husband, Colin, our daughters, our cat, and our dog.
I’m currently on faculty at Solstice, Pine Manor College’s MFA in Writing Program and at Pacem, a learning community for homeschoolers. I also regularly mentor children and teens in writing. In this interview with Tiara Marchando of Pine Manor College, we focus specifically on teaching writing.
For more information about me or my writing, go to this interview with Cynthia Leitich Smith or Debbi Michiko Florence’s interviews from 2003, 2004, and 2006. Also, here’s the link to a Write the Book interview with Shelagh Shapiro. Or you can also visit me at my blog or on Facebook.
