Flooded in Vermont

As all in Vermont know, and many across the country also know, Vermont ended up suffering a catastrophic flood on the 10th and 11th of July. Here is more footage from the Boston Globe.  Right now, many are in crisis mode, and they’re trying to dig out.

The trash is staggering. Montpelier in particular is struggling, including its beloved library and bookstore. You might consider supporting them. You might also consider supporting Vermont Studio Center, which was flooded.

Many of our literary institutions are suffering. If you’re at all inclined to help out these communities or you yourself need help, the state has collected resources and information, as has the Vermont Community Foundation

Though the situation is disheartening, the work on the ground here is inspiring.
